Puerto Rico was breathtaking! What started out as a last minute getaway turned into a handful of amazing experiences and memories that will certainly last a lifetime. As for the highlight of my trip, I still can’t decide whether it was my night out of dancing at the infamous La Placita block party or my day of touring the beautiful little town of Old San Juan! Special thanks to the Intercontinental San Juan for such a relaxing stay at their beautiful beachfront resort! The view from my room pretty much says it all.
My first day in San Juan was definitely all about relaxing. I enjoyed the Intercontinental’s resort style pool, swim up bar, and of course the beach!
The next day I was ready to explore San Juan! I wanted to head out bright and early and try one of the local breakfast eateries and that’s exactly what I did. I enjoyed a delightful breakfast at the local award winning Bistro Cafe off of Isla Verde- make sure you try this place if your ever in San Juan!
I then headed off for a day of shooting for the blog at the breathtaking Condado Beach. This beach was perfect. From the crystal blue waters and white sands, to the mile long views of the coastline- one word pristine.
These epic shots that I captured don’t even do Condado Beach justice. If your ever in San Juan this is for sure the beach to explore!
And…. what’s a “Stylecation” without showcasing your style! Peep this amazing shot of my Asos nude rubber framed shades!
Speaking of Asos and style, I wanted to capture some amazing island inspired style shots during my vacay, so I made sure to pack some pretty cool pieces from Asos to wear for the shoot!
Im wearing one of my favorite denim pieces, my long line collarless shirt, layered with my white biker tank top both from Asos! I’m also sporting my favorite sneakers- the classic Adidas Stan Smith with Navy accents.Next up, a day of adventure around the historic Old San Juan! Iv’e always seen pictures of the tropical colored architectural rows that Old San Juan is known for- but seeing it in person is breathtaking! Not to mention seeing the historic stone walled Forts that sit above the blue ocean waters lining the town.
I wanted to capture the vibe of going on an adventure in my look. What better color for a day of outdoor adventure then army green. I’m wearing a green racer tank from Asos, with distressed green jeans from Zara, and a faux leather baseball cap also in green. As for accessories I broke up the green with my mirror aviator shades and silver metallic lace-ups also from Zara.
The rest of my time on the beautiful city of San Juan was spent soaking up the culture of the native people, sampling local cuisine, and of course relaxing poolside and on the beach at the lovely Intercontinental Hotel resort at San Juan.
As for the highlight of my trip, I still can't decide whether it was my night out of dancing at the infamous La Placita block party or my day of touring the beautiful little town of Old San Juan!
